British Transport Police release statement after attending reports of ‘serious incident’ at Liverpool Lime Street

The British Transport Police has sent RailAdvent an update after officers attended an incident at Liverpool Lime Street this morning. Officers attended reports of a serious incident and were joined by paramedics, where a teenager was taken to hospital with injuries, which have since been confirmed as not life-threatening. Enquiries are being made into the incident and if anyone has any information, then they need to contact the BTP or either 61016 or 0800 40 50 40.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said ‘British Transport Police officers attended Liverpool Lime Street railway station at 11.34am today (19 March) following reports of a serious assault. Paramedics also attended, and a teenager was taken to hospital where his injuries were confirmed to be neither life-threatening or life-changing. Officers are conducting enquiries into the incident, and anyone with information can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 190 of 19/03/21.
