A 57-year-old hiker reported missing on a central Pennsylvania section of the Appalachian Trail has been found safe, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Police had been searching for John Dunnam, who was last seen around May 25 at Chimney Rocks between the Deer Lick Shelter and the Rocky Mountain Shelter in the Cumberland/Franklin County area, authorities said.
Dunnam was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue hiking pants, carrying a green backpack and two trekking poles, state police said.
