CG chief meets Governor, disucsses maritime security

Chennai: Director General of Indian Coast Guard, Krishnaswamy Natarajan paid a courtesy call to the Tamilnadu Governor RN Ravi at Raj Bhavan in Chennai.

According to an official release, various operational facets and recent string of achievements by Indian Coast Guard especially in the strategical coastal State of Tamilnadu were briefed to the Governor.

With the ever increasing challenges of maritime security and safety at sea, discussions were focused on strengthening the maritime safety aspects including safety of fishermen at sea in the state of Tamilnadu.
