MHA holds security review meeting

New Delhi, Dec 24 (UNI) A high-level security review meeting is currently underway in the Ministry of Home Affairs. The meeting, chaired by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, is being attended by senior officials of CRPF, NIA and IB. The meeting is taking place following a blast inside the district court complex in Ludhiana on Thursday, which left one person dead and many others injured.
The Home ministry had sought a detailed report on the blast ‘as soon as possible’ from the Punjab government. Meanwhile, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla today briefed Home Minister Amit Shah about the blast and prevailing security situation in the state, sources said here. Shah also spoke to Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to assess the situation in the state arising out of the blast and thw recent law & order incidents.
