Carjacking: The victim was walking in the parking lot at W. Court and West Streets on Dec.

18 at 7:43 p.m. with his keys partially hanging out of his pants pocket. The suspect ran at the victim and grabbed the victim’s keys from his pocket.

The suspect held something under his jacket with the other hand. The victim believed it was a firearm but never saw one. The suspect ran away from the victim ran after the suspect.

Another vehicle drove in front of the victim blocking his path. The suspect got into the victim’s vehicle and drove away stealing the victim’s vehicle. Stolen Vehicle/Hit and Run/DUI: On Dec.

21 at 4:46 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Main Street at a high rate of speed without lights on. The vehicle was being followed closely by another vehicle. The initial vehicle made an abrupt stop in front of Brenda Tack Warehouse and the driver of the vehicle exited the vehicle and began to run Northbound toward Court Street.

The driver then returned and made contact with the driver of the second vehicle and then walked eastbound on Main Street away from the vehicle he had been driving. Officers made contact with this subject who was later identified as Richard Weddle, a 37-year-old Woodland resident and detained him. Weddle was displaying signs of intoxication when contacted.

An officer made contact with the second subject who advised that he was following Weddle because Weddle had sideswiped his vehicle at the intersection of Court Street and East Street then fled the area. Shortly after making contact with the victim of the hit and run a stolen vehicle call came out. The victim of the stolen vehicle advised that his vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of 7-11 while he was inside the store.

The stolen vehicle turned out to be the vehicle Weddle was driving. Weddle was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, DUI, and hit and run. He was booked at Yolo County Jail.

Possession of Stolen Vehicle: An officer located an occupied stolen vehicle at the AT&T store at 1810 E. Main Street on Dec.

24 at 12:06 a.m. The vehicle was a 2013 Ford Fusion, that had been stolen a few days prior.

Juan Ignacio-Consuelos, a 42-year-old Woodland resident, was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.


HOST members participated in a CNT operation and training this week. They also assisted “Fill The Trunk” with additional toy giveaways. HOST worked on cleaning up and reducing camping around 25 N Cottonwood St.

HOST was able to locate the property that was stolen in a burglary from a church and arrest the subject who had it in their possession. HOST also assisted with noticing and moving subjects camping in the lot to the west of the shelter. HOST made 92 contacts, offered services to 47 of them of which 10 accepted services.

There were 34 camps located and 13 camps cleaned up. There were 19 downtown patrols and nine business contacts made. There were three arrests made.
