From global terror threats to terror financing – Key points of Amit Shah’s security review meet

Union Home Minister Amit Shah  | &nbspPhoto Credit:&nbspTwitter New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday chaired a security review meeting during which he highlighted continued threats of cross-border terrorism, terror financing among other security challenges. The meeting was held to review prevailing threat scenario in the country and emerging security challenges, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

Shah also stressed upon need for better coordination and synergy among Central and state security agencies for countering any emerging security threats. The heads of security agencies of the country prominently Central Intelligence Agencies, CAPFs, intelligence wings of armed forces, revenue and financial intelligence agencies attended the meeting. The DGPs of states and UTs joined the meeting through video conferencing.

The Home Minister also highlighted the continued threats of narco-terrorism, organised crime-terror nexus, illicit use of cyber space, movement of foreign terrorist fighters.
